Someone turned their new Cyber Truck into a Delorean Time Machine replica!
The Tesla Cybertruck is a striking blend of its own identity and a nostalgic nod to the iconic DeLorean DMC-12 from "Back to the Future." Resembling long-lost siblings separated by decades, both vehicles boast a stainless steel body and a futuristic angular design that turns heads.
While the DeLorean DMC-12 gained fame in 1985 with its appearance in the blockbuster film, the Cybertruck made headlines in November 2019 when its windows famously shattered during its unveiling.
Despite their nearly forty-year age difference, the two vehicles share remarkable similarities. However, an enthusiast took their resemblance to another level by customizing the Cybertruck to mirror the beloved Hollywood car.
The Cybertruck's front now proudly displays "OCD" lettering in homage to the iconic "DMC" badge of the DeLorean and done by the company OCD Detailing. The exterior is adorned with colorful wires reminiscent of time-traveling gadgetry, while the rear features a film wrap depicting the DeLorean's signature plutonium chamber.
Although the original DeLorean was powered by a rear-mounted V6 engine, the Cybertruck Foundation Series boasts impressive electric specs, including dual-motor setup generating 845 horsepower and 10,296 pound-feet of torque.
A notable modification is the wrapped tonneau cover, mimicking the DeLorean's iconic design. Despite being an electric vehicle, the Cybertruck playfully sports four faux exhaust tips and DeLorean-inspired boosters at the rear.
Completing the homage, the rear registration plate humorously reads "Outatime," hinting at the Cybertruck's whimsical time-traveling capabilities.
In a side-by-side comparison with a DeLorean DMC-12, the Cybertruck RC impressively mirrors its predecessor's size and style, lacking only the gullwing doors that defined the DeLorean's iconic silhouette.
